Congratulations Jane Lorentzen, President of the Iowa State Bar Association

On June 24, 2009, Jane Lorentzen was sworn in as the 123rd President of the Iowa State Bar Association in a ceremony that included many past presidents of the Bar, the Chief Justice of the Iowa Supreme Court, her father, Jim (as member of the Bar) and her brother, Drew (as representative of the public). Jane began her term as leader of the 136-year-old organization that serves approximately 7,800 lawyers for the benefit of its members, the judiciary and legislature, and the public. Jane is the first third-generation Iowa attorney to serve in ISBA leadership, and only the second woman to serve as president.
